Policies
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated September 8, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of the ServerShield Discord bot, dashboard, and related services operated by SlayStudios. By adding the bot, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 and meet Discord's minimum age in your country. If you are not old enough to agree for yourself, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you where permitted by law.
2. Authority and server administration
You may configure ServerShield for a Discord server only if you have the required Discord permissions and authority to act for that server. Server owners and administrators are responsible for their configuration, their moderators' use of the service, notices they owe to server members, and actions the bot takes based on their settings. Do not use ServerShield to collect information you are not legally permitted to collect.
3. Acceptable use
- Follow applicable law, Discord's Terms, Community Guidelines, and Developer policies that apply to you.
- Do not harass, stalk, discriminate against, defraud, or unlawfully monitor another person.
- Do not exploit, reverse engineer where prohibited, disrupt, scrape, overload, or bypass service limits or security controls.
- Do not access another account or server without permission or submit false, malicious, infringing, or illegal content.
- Do not upload secrets or unnecessarily sensitive data, including passwords, tokens, financial data, health data, or government identifiers.
- Do not sell, sublicense, or use Discord API data obtained through ServerShield for advertising or surveillance.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give SlayStudios a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and modify that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and support ServerShield and meet legal obligations. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for surviving backups, security records, legal holds, and other lawful retention described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Automation and AI
ServerShield uses automated rules to detect suspected raids, spam, abuse, and ban evasion. SlayStudios may also use AI-assisted tools as described in the Privacy Policy. Automated and AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or biased and are not legal, safety, or professional advice. Server administrators must use appropriate human judgment before relying on an output for a consequential decision. Users may appeal ServerShield blacklist restrictions through the provided appeal process.
6. Enforcement, suspension, and appeals
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, investigate suspected abuse, comply with law or Discord requirements, or enforce these Terms. Where practical, we will consider the circumstances and provide an appeal path. We may preserve relevant evidence while an investigation, dispute, or legal hold is active.
7. Third-party services
ServerShield depends on services such as Discord, Vercel, and Cloudflare. Their own terms and policies govern your direct relationship with them. We do not control third-party outages, account actions, API changes, or content. Discord is not responsible for ServerShield and does not sponsor or endorse it unless expressly stated by Discord.
8. Service changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable usage limits. We aim to provide a reliable service, but ServerShield is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation, or that moderation systems will detect every threat or avoid every false positive.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlayStudios disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To that same extent, SlayStudios will not be liable for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from ServerShield. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Intellectual property and feedback
ServerShield's software, branding, design, and documentation belong to SlayStudios or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer them to you. If you submit feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, but this does not give us ownership of personal data included in that feedback.
11. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale.
12. Contact
Questions, legal notices, intellectual-property complaints, and disputes should be sent privately to the ServerShield team through the official SlayStudios Discord. Do not post personal or confidential information in a public channel.
